Notes
A prolonged Indian summer with cool nights, typical of Marlborough, led to expressive wines with great natural acidity. The season produced pristine fruit with beautifully ripe flavours. Hand harvested from our single cane, high density planted vines, the fruit was fermented in an open top tank with 30% whole bunch clusters. The wine was then lightly pressed into seasoned French oak barrels and aged for 11 months. In pursuit of the highest quality, we have not fined or filtered this wine. A small amount of sulphur was added just prior to bottling.
